Are you looking to better understand the minority business and entrepreneurship ecosystem?

The Entrepreneurial Development & Assistance Center (EDAC) at Morgan State University has played a major role in introducing entrepreneurship for over a decade. Our mission is connecting budding and existing entrepreneurs to resources for venture management and growth. Through EDAC programs we are able to serve entrepreneurs at various stages of their journey, from our R.I.D.E program for re-entering citizens, to our Women-Owned & Managed Enterprise Network, our Women Veteran Entrepreneurs Initiative, our partnership with the Baltimore-Metro Women's Business Center, and our inspirational Podcast programming, just to name a few. During this session, we will provide a comprehensive look at the MBE rights and responsibilities in both the prime and subcontractor rolls, examine best practices for navigating state procurement, and share insights on how to target your business development efforts within this competitive arena. 

Who should attend? Small, minority, women, and veteran business owners and entrepreneurs who are ready and able to compete for subcontracting opportunities in the state contracting arena.

Kaiser Permanente, in partnership with the Baltimore Mayor’s Office of Small, Minority, & Women’s Business and Catholic University, is bringing the Inner City Capital Connections back to both Baltimore and DC this year. This tuition-free executive leadership training program is designed by the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City (ICIC) to help business owners in under-resourced communities build capacity for sustainable growth in revenue, profitability, and employment. APPLY HERE

Laborers Needed for Construction Clean Up!!!!

Keller Professional Services, Inc. is seeking qualified laborers to join its Construction Clean-up Crew for construction projects throughout Baltimore City. Prior construction experience is helpful but not required.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be a resident of Baltimore City
  • Must have the strength and endurance to lift heavy debris (50 pounds)
  • Must have the desire and drive to work
  • Must be able to pass a drug screening (upon application and randomly)
  • Criminal Backgrounds considered on an individual basis
  • Two forms of valid ID (Social Security Card and State photo ID/Birth Certificate/or Green Card)
  • 1 Year's experience as a laborer is needed.
